Chelsea Prepare Special Boot for Cole Palmer After Freak Injury

Chelsea have made a special football boot for Cole Palmer to help him heal faster from his most recent injury. The England international broke the little toe on his left foot on Wednesday night when he stubbed it at home. He was just about to return from a groin problem, but he is now out of games against Burnley, Barcelona, and Arsenal.

According to emerging reports out of London, Palmer’s left boot has been changed to add extra padding around the injured toe. The club hopes this change will let him resume training on grass next week and maybe even play while wearing it.

Chelsea hope that the 23-year-old will be able to play again on either December 3 against Leeds United or December 6 against Bournemouth. However, he will see a specialist to get a clearer picture of his injury. Because the fracture is in his little toe and has already been reset, the hope is that he won’t be out for long.

What Enzo Maresca Said About Cole Palmer Freak Injury

Head coach Enzo Maresca said on Friday that the setback meant:

“He is probably not available for tomorrow for sure, Barcelona for sure or Arsenal for sure. Unfortunately, he had an accident at home where he hit his toe. It is nothing important, but he won’t be back in the next week.

“I wake up many times in the night to go to the toilet, I hit my head and leg and everything. It can happen. He was very close. He was back with us almost with the groin, which is very good news, but he has this small problem.”

Palmer has been out of action since he hurt his groin in the first half of Chelsea’s game against Manchester United on September 20. Missing both Barcelona and Arsenal will be even more frustrating for a player who had been working hard to get back in time for those games.
