Arsenal's last three seasons under Mikel Arteta have been three of the best seasons to end trophyless, and it seems like this season is the perfect way to end that trend.
We are only in November, and Arsenal have not won anything yet, but if they keep this going, there will be nothing that stops them from winning at least something at the end of the season.
They are already at the top of the Premier League, being four points clear of Manchester City. They are at the top of the Champions League table, and have won their domestic cup competition matches with relative ease.
However, there is one trend that follows Arsenal everywhere they go, every time they innovate - bring in a new weapon, a new way of winning, it gets criticised by fans of rival clubs.
Arsenal actually work incredibly hard on their set pieces
An Arsenal fan on the club's Subreddit discussed how Arsenal get a bad rep for doing different things in order to win.
In this case, it was the set pieces. Arsenal are the best set-piece team in world football at the moment, and it is not even close.
However, the way people talk about Arsenal's set-pieces now make it seem like they have ruined the sport
In reality, though, Arsenal spend a lot of time on their set-pieces. It is not some last ditch move they pull out just because they have tall players. It is something they work on in every single training session.
They have the best set piece coach in the world, and with him, they have found a way to score goals - especially when it is really difficult to do so.
Why are they getting bad rep for it? It is not like they have 10% possession and put all their eggs in one basket. No. They still dominate games. They still create a lot of chances from open play.
The only difference between them and other big teams in Europe is that they have utilised their set-piece coaching so well that everyone hates them for it.
It is not just luck. So much tactical and data analysis goes into it, and no one realises it.
It is not just the first time something like this has happened, either. And it won't be the last time. Arsenal fans shouldn't care too much, though, as long as they keep blowing teams away and win every game. Rub salt on the rival fans' wounds.
