BEREA, Ohio -- Myles Garrett, who’s on pace to shatter the NFL single season sack record this season, sat out Friday’s practice with an illness as the Browns put the finishing touches on their preparations for Sunday’s game in Las Vegas.
Garrett’s game status will be updated after practice, but he’ll likely be listed as questionable for the game.
He’s coming off a four-sack outburst during Sunday’s 23-16 loss to the Ravens, which gave him 10 over a three-game span to tie for the NFL record.
Garrett is first in the NFL this season with 15.0 sacks and 22 tackles for a loss, and needs eight sacks to break the single season record of 22.5, shared by Michael Strahan (2001) and T.J. Watt (2021).
Garrett’s three-week tear includes his record-setting 5.0 sack bonanza in the 32-13 loss to the Patriots.
The last game Garrett missed because of injury was the Week 4 in 2022 at Atlanta after he flipped his Porsche multiple times.
