Boston Red Sox fans were comforted to see Roman Anthony and Garrett Crochet leaving messages on Alex Bregman’s recent Instagram post. Bregman posted a photo of himself getting after it in the weight room. Crochet commented, “That man is different” as a nod to Bregman’s work ethic, while Anthony took a more humorous approach, writing, “Is that the warm up?”. Fans were immediately reminded of the excellent chemistry Boston established in its clubhouse once the season hit its stride and Anthony joined the party. It’s obvious that Bregman is highly-respected by his Red Sox teammates, and everyone in Boston seems to share the stance that bringing Breg back is a must. The three-time All-Star third baseman hit .273 (.821 OPS) with 18 home runs, 62 RBI and 64 runs scored in 114 games for Boston in 2025. He missed a bunch of games with a quad injury but did more than enough to prove his value. This was a widely expected outcome, especially with Bregman being a client of agent Scott Boras, who is known for preferring to send his players into free agency to test the market. Bregman has accomplished a ton in his MLB career already — including two World Series titles — but he’s still only 31 years old. There’s a lot of baseball left for him to play at a high level.
