Liverpool’s problems at right-back deepened on Friday after news arrived that Conor Bradley is likely to miss the next three weeks with injury.
The Northern Irishman has improved in recent weeks, but after picking up another fitness issue he is seriously testing the patience of the Reds’ fanbase.
On his day, there is a chance that Bradley could become Liverpool‘s long-term starting right-back. But in-between the injury problems there has been a severe lack of form too. Maybe it simply won’t work out.

Then there’s Jeremie Frimpong, who was brought in as a response to Trent Alexander-Arnold’s free transfer exit during the summer.
Frimpong has failed to convince when he’s managed to get out on the pitch for Liverpool, and is now injured for the second time this season already.
As a result, there is a genuine possibility that Liverpool are once again looking for a new right-back at the end of the campaign. There are plenty of options who could be available to them, but the Reds should be taking a special interest in some recent comments from Crystal Palace’s Daniel Munoz.

Daniel Munoz would be an ideal Liverpool signing
There are few who would deny that Munoz has been one of the Premier League’s best right-backs since arriving at Palace in 2024.
The Colombian had a sensational full debut season at Selhurst Park and announced himself as a pacy, threatening yet defensively diligent right-back.

Watching Munoz you get the impression he is exactly what Arne Slot wants from a full-back. While Bradley is relentlessly injured, the 29-year-old has barely missed a minute since the beginning of last season.
As Liverpool found out when trying to buy Marc Guehi last summer, Palace are not a straightforward club to do business with. But judging by some comments Munoz made during the recent international break, their right-back could be looking for the exit door.

“For me, it would be a dream to play for one of those clubs, whether it’s Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Manchester United,” Munoz said via TalkSPORT. “I think I’m working towards that; every day I give it my all so that maybe one day I can catch the attention of these clubs.
“Right now, I’m focused on my club, on doing things well at Crystal Palace. I’m not really aware of what’s being said; I don’t have any information about whether these teams want me or are interested in me. We’ll see when the winter transfer window approaches.”
Though Munoz left Liverpool out of his list of dream clubs, there is little doubt that if the Reds came forward with serious interest, the Colombia international would be interested.
Is Munoz too old for Liverpool?
The instant pushback against Liverpool potentially signing Munoz will likely be his age.
Turning 30 in May, the former Genk man is nothing like in the kind of profile the Liverpool owners usually look to make additions in.
Nevertheless, his age also lowers his value significantly, and with two years left on his contract come the summer, there may be a window here.

There is a chance that Munoz being the wrong side of 30 could also work out nicely for Liverpool. He can be a perfect stop-gap signing while they assess the best way forward.
Certainly in terms of playing style there are not many out there who could be as ideal a fit as Munoz. Having opened the door to a departure himself, maybe the timing could just be right for him and Liverpool.
