A lot is being asked of inside linebacker **Cody Simon** right now. The fourth-round pick out of Ohio State is in charge of the defense, or perhaps better said, an extension of defensive coordinator Nick Rallis since it's Simon who is wearing the green dot in the absence of injured starter Mack Wilson Sr. On Sunday, Simon will make his third straight start. Last week, not only did he play 100 percent of the defensive snaps for a second straight game, but finished with a team-best 12 tackles, the highest single-game total for a Cardinals rookie since Budda Baker had 13 in Week 16 of the 2017 season. This week, Simon is tasked with helping to slow down a Jaguars offense that has scored 30, 29 and 35 points in the past three games.
