Steelers list three players questionable, star pass rusher doubtful for Bears game

The Pittsburgh Steelers will have a few game-time decisions to make against the Chicago Bears, as three players are questionable for the game. Cornerback Darius Slay took a step back on Friday after two straight full practices he recovers from a concussion.

The Steelers listed him as questionable. If Slay could not play, the team would look to James Pierre to start once again. Pierre has shined this season in limited chances, and was excellent against the Bengals.

Defensive lineman Cam Heyward popped up with an ankle issue on Friday that he suffered in practice. He was seen in a walking boot, but sources tell PennLive he is still expected to play. Heyward has not missed a game this season.

The one more concerning injury is outside linebacker Alex Highsmith, who despite being ‘optimistic' on Thursday, is doubtful after another limited practice. His return against the Bills seems all but likely, however, the Steelers could be down a key perimeter run defender against the Bears.

Lastly, quarterback Aaron Rodgers remains questionable with his left wrist issue. Rodgers was limited again in practice and head coach Mike Tomlin noted they would make that decision closer to game time rather than on Friday.

Running back Jaylen Warren dealt with an ankle injury but was off the injury report and will play.
