San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk may have already played his final game for the organization, despite signing a four-year, $120 million contract extension last year.
According to The Athletic, the 49ers have already voided the guaranteed money in Aiyuk's contract for 2026 and have grown tired of him failing to meet contractual obligations. While some members of the organization are hopeful of a reconciliation, others believe that his time in San Francisco is nearing the end.
Aiyuk suffered a season-ending injury in October 2024 during a Week 7 clash against the Kansas City Chiefs, tearing his ACL and MCL. Aiyuk has yet to be activated from the physically unable to perform list, and his behavior in recent months has led to concerns behind the scenes.

The report states that Aiyuk has failed to attend meetings and declined participation in other team activities. Aiyuk's communication with the 49ers has been scarce, and his conduct has led to the organization withholding the majority of his earnings for next season.
When Aiyuk signed his contract, it included a $23 million signing bonus and $76 million in guaranteed money. The receiver was set to earn almost $25 million in an option bonus next year, but that's been voided by the 49ers.
As it stands, Aiyuk could earn a $1.2 million base salary for the 2026 season, plus a $100,000 workout bonus and roster bonuses of $750,000 per game.
