They're giving me the trust and I do my best to give the trust back as well.Ugochukwu faces his former side today when Burnley take on Chelsea at Turf Moor (Photo by George Wood/Getty Images)Reflecting on time at Chelsea“To be honest, I think I did my best there. It's unfortunate that I didn't really work there. It was a tough moment for me as well because the first part of the season I didn't really play, so I think it's something that as a young player I learned and grew up and helped me. So now I came here with a different energy.“I played some games with [Mauricio] Pochettino, then I got injured, which took me a long time to come back. Then during the summer, Pochettino was sacked.“I wanted to have more game time and I felt like I didn't just want to be part of a team and just sit down.“That's why when Southampton came, I said I need to go there. At the end of the day, I played a lot of games during the second part of the season.”The Burnley Express has launched a new WhatsApp channel to bring the latest news, analysis and team & injury updates directly to your phone. Then when we scored, I think we went back and they scored the equaliser and that's why the game was different.“That's why I think we need to improve. Going away and winning 1-0, what we did in the first 35 minutes is not easy, so I think we should have just kept doing it, but probably two times better and we'll improve from that result for sure.“Everyone was frustrated. When you lead 1-0 and then at the end of the day you lose, it's always frustrating.“Like I said, it's a result that we'll learn from it and do our best to not do it again.”Playing further forward“Basically, I'm more of a box-to-box player.“The fact that I went a bit higher, I like it because I've got the freedom as well. I've got two superb midfielders as well beside me, so it gives me that freedom. I enjoyed playing higher there.“I enjoy playing with them [Josh Cullen and Florentino Luis] because I think we match up well together. Having those types of players, the quality they have is top-notch. When you play with them, you just feel more relaxed, I would say.”Scoring twice in his last five games“Personally, I wanted to be more decisive, bring more into my game.“But at the same time, I think my teammates and Scott Parker brought that also, gave me that freedom and that confidence to be like: ‘you've got a great game, just go ahead and enjoy’. I think they help me.”Continue Reading
