Liverpool return to Champions League action on Wednesday evening versus PSV.
They have won three and lost one of their opening four games in the competition so far, most recently beating Real Madrid.
Their European form has been much better than their Premier League results, which does make some sense, given what Arne Slot is now ‘obsessed’ with.

Dominik Szoboszlai and Arne Slot both chasing Champions League glory
Writing for Sky Sports recently, Jamie Carragher shared how Slot has formed an obsession with winning the Champions League.
He even went as far as to suggest it has become more of a priority than retaining the Premier League title.

Carragher wrote: “I think Slot has a little obsession with the Champions League. He speaks about PSG a lot last season, on the back of losing to them.
He continued: “And I’d almost feel like he thinks ‘that’s our next step’. I could feel it the way he said it, we’ve won the league, but we want to win the Champions League, it was that type of thing.
“And it just stuck with me in his head; you can feel he desperately wants it, as all top managers do but when you’re a manager of Liverpool, the club is synonymous with the Champions League, so we have to go close.”
Liverpool are currently the fourth favourites to win the Champions League this season, according to Opta’s supercomputer.
