Manchester United's Marcus Rashford has finally swapped his plush Barcelona hotel for a swanky new neighbourhood. The area was previously home to Barca greats Andres Iniesta and Gerard Pique.
The England forward initially took up residence in the luxurious Hotel Torre Melina following his temporary move to Spain from Manchester United over the summer. The hotel's prime location proved ideal for the 28-year-old given it's only a mile away from Camp Nou, where Rashford will play for the first time this weekend.
However, after four months, Rashford has traded the opulent 391-room hotel for an apartment in Esplugues, a municipality on the outskirts of Barcelona nestled against the Collserola mountains.
Esplugues, once home to Barcelona greats like Iniesta and Pique, will now be Rashford's base at least until next summer when his season-long loan expires. The Manchester-born striker seems to have settled well into his new surroundings, taking up local activities such as padel and fishing.
While at the hotel, Rashford had access to top-notch facilities including a spa sanctuary and a fully-equipped fitness centre. The hotel also offered the privacy that Rashford, given his global fame, would undoubtedly appreciate, complete with a private helipad for air travel.
In his new neighbourhood, he could potentially be joined by Barcelona team-mate Lamine Yamal. Spanish sources suggest that the young footballer had been eyeing up the mansion previously owned by Pique and his ex-wife Shakira.

Reportedly raking in a whopping £325,000 per week after signing his new long-term contract this past summer, Yamal was said to be considering snapping up the property valued at £9.5million.
Originally on the market for £12m three years ago, the price of the mansion has since been slashed. The sprawling 3,800 square foot estate boasts three separate houses, with the main residence featuring a tennis court and both an indoor and outdoor swimming pool.

Just a few months into his Barcelona stint and Rashford is already making waves in Spain. Currently ranking as the fifth-most prolific player in Europe this season in terms of goal involvements, he's already netted six goals and provided nine assists in just 16 matches.
Not only has no player in Europe's five major leagues managed to surpass Rashford's nine assists this season, but no La Liga player has outdone the Englishman's tally of four goals and two assists in the Champions League.
