Everton are now fully focused on their return to Premier League football with adjustments being made to the squad ahead of the trip to Old Trafford.
David Moyes has not placed a huge deal of faith in the academy products since he made his return to Merseyside back in January.
There will be mounting pressure on Everton to start picking up more regular wins, with a daunting run of fixtures to come over the festive period.
To add to their difficult fixture list, Everton are going to lose the likes of Iliman Ndiaye and Idrissa Gana Gueye to the Africa Cup of Nations.
Jamie Carragher claimed Moyes is trying to avoid using young players like Tyler Dibling, who has watched most of the season from the bench.
However, the 62-year-old has now called up some more youngsters to first-team training ahead of the game against Manchester United on Monday.

The 19-year-old is going to become an important player for the Blues as their star man heads off to represent Senegal.
Although they will not be expected to play, there were three academy products spotted in a recent first-team training session.
Those three players were:
Eli Campbell
Reece Welch
Callum Bates
Campbell and Welch are two centre-backs, which may be of interest given Jarrad Branthwaite recently underwent surgery on his injury setback.
This is not the first time this season that Moyes has called up some of Everton’s youngsters to train with the senior players.
Earlier this month, Moyes called-up Will Tamen, Doug Lukjanciks and Reece Welch to senior training during the international break.
The most recent to be called up will not be expected to feature in any capacity on Monday, but it is an indication that Moyes is informed on the talent the club has in their ranks.
Everton youngsters may require loans to develop
The prime example on Merseyside has been Harrison Armstrong, who left the club again over the summer to seek regular minutes with Preston North End.
Armstrong picked up an injury over the international break, which both Everton and Preston will be hoping is not too serious.
Everton’s last five league results away to Man United
24/25: Man United 4-0 Everton
23/24: Man United 2-0 Everton
22/23: Man United 2-0 Everton
21/22: Man United 1-1 Everton
20/21: Man United 3-3 Everton
But the 19-year-old has proven to be the example that even the most exciting young talent at Everton has had to find a loan to continue his development in the men’s game.
Given the run of fixtures lying ahead of the Blues, it is hard to see Moyes forcing many changes to his starting XI over the coming month.
It will be a positive experience for those Everton youngsters to taste some of the action with the first team, but their opportunities on the pitch remain a long way away.
