Mikel Arteta has spoken with confidence about the renewal of a contract for Bukayo Saka.
The talismanic figure for **Arsenal**had signed a deal in 2023 that would last until 2027, and the 24-year-old remains the darling of the team for the fanbase. He has bounced back from two hamstring injuries in the last 11 months, reinforcing how he has risen to whatever challenge has come his way.
Another long-term signature from the winger would extend a successful set of renewals for the club. William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri have all put pen to paper with the club in recent months, demonstrating the commitment of the players to this project.
It is all credit to the structure that has evolved in the red and white half of North London, and Arteta is relaxed about the situation as he focuses on getting the most out of the players on the pitch.
“What Bukayo has admitted to me and the club is that they want to continue to be here. I think it's a very healthy and powerful relationship: the journey that he had at the club and what he's become, it's something that we want to maintain and I think that's something that is going to leave a legacy at this football club and he needs to fulfil that role which is great.
“I think it's been a very clear vision and route how we wanted to do things. I think ownership shift has been incredibly supportive and determined to make sure that um that we can continue the journey with these players and maintain the core of the team.
“And then efficiency with everybody that works upstairs starting with Andrea Berta and all the team to get things done. At the end there are always three parties and it's never an easy thing to get done.”
