Liverpool’s next nine Premier League fixtures present a real opportunity for the Reds

The Reds currently sit in eighth place with eleven games played.

Liverpool started the season well under Arne Slot, but any form or momentum has swiftly faded away as the Reds find themselves with one win in their last six Premier League games.

A brilliant display against Real Madrid was immediately followed by an extremely disappointing outing against Manchester City before the most recent international break.

Any sight of consistency after back-to-back wins had been aggressively halted at the Etihad, and Arne Slot has most definitely been spending the last two weeks racking his brains for a solution to the dilemma he is facing once again.

However, it is important to look at the positives, and Liverpool’s upcoming run of fixtures could present a real opportunity for the Reds to turn their season around.

Liverpool’s next nine Premier League fixtures see them face teams with an average position of 14th.

Today, Liverpool face Nottingham Forest at home.

After that, it’s a trip to London to face struggling West Ham.

The games that follow are:

Sunderland (H)

Leeds United (A)

Brighton (H)

Spurs (A)

Wolves (H)

Leeds United (H)

Fulham (A)

Whilst on paper, Liverpool’s position in the table doesn’t make for great reading, they have had a difficult start to the season.

The Reds have already faced Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City.

On top of that, they have played high-flyers Crystal Palace and Bournemouth who both sit above Liverpool in the table as the two managers of each club continue to work miracles.

If Arne Slot can get his team firing again, and make the necessary adjustments, there is every chance that Liverpool can get themselves back into the hunt for silverware this season.
