“It’s been better than I expected,” Lamb explained on his start in the Under-18s.

“I’m just going to carry on going and see where it can take me.”
The 16-year-old’s fine form also earnt him an England debut over the latest international break.
“It was a really good feeling for myself and my family,” Lamb said reflecting on the occasion.
“I’ve been wanting that for a long, long time, but it doesn’t stop there I need to score my first goal and I need to do a lot of other things, but it’s a nice one to have especially so young.
“If you’re good enough to represent your country, it gives you a boost when you’re on the ball and you know how you carry yourself, so every good thing gives me confidence, but it’s about keeping it in myself and bringing it onto the pitch here.”
