“I really like this kind of win, because it’s tough. After the international break, 12 o’clock kick off, Burnley away. It was always going to be a tricky game. The way we competed, the way we won, with a clean sheet, I’m really happy,” the Chelsea boss said.
“I think personally to come here and not concede anything, from my point of view that’s very difficult. Considering the type of pitch, type of stadium. So it’s normal to concede something, but overall they had only one real chance which was in the second half. Apart from that I don’t think they had any real chances.”
Maresca was also asked about Andrey Santos’ man of the match performance, saying that the best thing about it was how prepared the Brazilian was to step in to the team:
“He was ready. Andrey is doing really well, today was a tough game, he’s not always playing, we don’t always use him… it’s not easy when you’re not used to playing a lot.”

Santos was man of the match in his role as a Moises Caicedo replacement, showing all of the energy and intelligence that the Ecuador star does when he plays in the middle.
Chelsea added their second late on to seal a win, with a really attractive counter attack which tore through the Burnley team and was finished off by G/A machine Enzo Fernandez.
