CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Browns will try to break their 13-game road losing streak this week. They travel to Las Vegas to face the Raiders at Allegiant Stadium.
The Browns and Raiders are both 2-8, but this game took on a new level of interest when rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders was announced as the Browns’ starting quarterback.
Will Sanders be able to break the losing streak and make his case to remain the team’s starter beyond this week.
The Raiders are 4-point favorites as of Friday afternoon according to ESPN.
Here are our picks for Sunday:
Dan Labbe (6-4):
Storyline: Which unit do you trust the most in this game? It’s the Browns’ defense, and they will be enough to win the game by giving the offense short fields or even scoring on their own.
Pick: Browns 16, Raiders 5.
Mary Kay Cabot (5-5):
Storyline: The team is excited for rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders’ first start and will be very focused on supporting him by playing well in all phases of the game. The Browns’ defense, led by Myles Garrett, will be much better than the Raiders’ defense.
Pick: Browns 20, Raiders 13.
Ashley Bastock (4-6):
Storyline: Whether the Browns’ defensive line will be able to dominate the Raiders’ quarterback, Geno Smith, who has been sacked 31 times this season. Watch for opportunities for Myles Garrett and other players, like Mason Graham, to get sacks.
Pick: Browns 12, Raiders 3.
