The Blues booked our spot in the knockout stages of the Subway Women’s League Cup after ensuring we topped Group A with an unbeaten record.
After over half an hour of pushing and probing, Grace Clinton got on the end of a well-worked move for City to put us ahead and on course for a spot in the quarter-finals.

Lauren Hemp then finished while standing on the line after Rebecca Knaak’s header came back off the post and land at her feet just before the half-time whistle, which knocked some of the stuffing out of Forest.
It was a second half of dominating possession from City, but they were unable to add a third goal.
However, that wasn’t for a lack of effort, with Laura Coombs, Bunny Shaw and substitute Iman Beney all hitting the woodwork.
