Liverpool slumped to another utterly miserable defeat when they were beaten at home by lowly Nottingham Forest. Murillo scored a controversial opener in the first half for the visitors before Nicola Savona scored immediately after half-time and Morgan Gibbs-White notched late on to earn an easy 3-0 win.
The result means 's side have now lost six of their last seven league games on an afternoon where the home crowd aired their frustrations at the underperforming players.
The ECHO was in attendance at an unhappy and here we run the rule over the performance of the Liverpool players.
Alisson Becker 6
Couldn’t do much about the Forest goals - and decent save from Hutchison in the build-up to the third - and held a long-ranger from Murillo before break.
Dominik Szoboszlai 6
Did well enough at right-back but much more effective when drifting into central positions. Some decent moments linking with Salah.
Ibrahima Konate 4
Erratic distribution and hesitant defending made for an alarming first-half showing. Sacrificed after Forest went 2-0 up.
Virgil van Dijk 5
Can only do so much to make up for the lack of quality of those around him in defence. His increasingly perplexed reactions suggested he was not impressed.
Milos Kerkez 5
Very mixed bag with some decent attacking forays allied to spates of less-than-convincing defending. Subbed.
Ryan Gravenberch 5
Started on the front foot but became bogged down by the slog in midfield. Moved to centre-back as Liverpool chased the game in vain. Booked.
Alexis Mac Allister 5
Should really have scored when Anderson made great headed block and didn't make the most of some promising situations before disappearing into his shell.
Mohamed Salah 7
Got the better of former team-mate Williams first half and clever feet created some openings. One shot saved, another dragged wide and the only regular attacking threat for Liverpool.
Curtis Jones 5
Neat footwork got him out of some tricky situations and sought to pressure the Forest rearguard but among those to lose way second half. Subbed.
Cody Gakpo 5
Among the many Liverpool players to see efforts blocked and tried to show some attacking thrust but much less of an influence second half.
Alexander Isak 4
Touched the ball once in the opening quarter then began drifting left in an attempt to get into the game. Not great. Subbed.
SUBS
Hugo Ekitike (for Konate 55) 5
Briefly added a bit of running around to the Liverpool attack.
Federico Chiesa (for Isak 68) 5
Mild energy injection. Booked.
Andy Robertson (for Kerkez 68) 5
Done by Hutchinson for the third.
Rio Ngumoha (for Jones 78)
Bit of an ask for the teenager to save this one.
