Finally some good news coming out of Philadelphia regarding the Eagles!
The Eagles gave an update on a couple of notes before their Week 12 showdown against the Dallas Cowboys. Starting center Cam Jurgens has been upgraded to no status for the Cowboys game. Jurgens suffered a concussion in the Week 11 win over the Detroit Lions and missed their first practice, but has worked out since and appears to be clear to play.
Philly added another note, announcing that star wide receiver DeVonta Smith will travel separately from the Eagles for personal reasons and has no game status. It's unknown what occurred personally, but it sounds like Smith is still good to play.
Jurgens is good to go and the Eagles' offensive line is on solid ground vs. Cowboys
This was the news Eagles fans needed to hear, as the offensive line is already facing tough injuries. Right tackle Lane Johnson is expected to be out four to six weeks with his foot injury and was ruled out for the Cowboys game.
Jurgens had missed two games this season with a knee injury and had also been dealing with back issues. Brett Toth, his replacement during those two games, is missed.
As for the Smith news, hopefully, he will still play. It's interesting that the team had to add that Smith is traveling separately. Fans can only hope everything is good with Smith personally.
Philly is looking to keep their three-game lead in the NFC East with an 8-2 record, while the Cowboys are behind them in the division. Dallas is sitting at a 4-5-1 record, looking to avenge their last loss to the Eagles 24-20 in their Week 1 matchup.
