Everton are making the trip to Old Trafford on Monday where Roy Keane asserted himself as one of the Premier League greats.
And it is something that the former United midfielder has said about one Everton player that may help David Moyes make his team selection ahead of the game.
Everton’s record at Old Trafford is not exactly something the Toffees can look back on for inspiration ahead of Monday evening.

Ruben Amorim is expecting Jake O’Brien to return to right-back having been dropped for the recent victory against Fulham.
Right-back is a position that has caused Everton some issues this season, with Moyes demanding more from his full-backs.
Ahead of the game at Old Trafford, Moyes may want to take note of something Keane has previously said about one of his players.

Wayne Rooney and Keane hailed Everton’s away fans as the best in the Premier League looking ahead to their game against United.

However, Moyes will be hoping his side give those travelling fans something to sing about at Old Trafford, with some interesting selection decisions to make.
Who should David Moyes start at right-back vs Man United?
Moyes admitted he’s considering Coleman as a right-back option on the back of his impressive international break with the Republic of Ireland.
Starting the 37-year-old is a decision that would certainly have the approval of Coleman’s compatriot, Keane.
“Obviously I worked with Seamus for a few years when I was working with Martin O’Neill with Ireland. I couldn’t speak highly enough of him.
“He’s consistent, has had a lot of setbacks in his career with injuries, but he’s a good solid lad. He’s a nice bloke, someone you would want to go into the trenches with,” Keane said on Sky Sports back in 2024.
“I had a few rows with Seamus… I know you find that hard to believe,” added Keane. “What I like about players, if I have a go at them and say they should be doing something, Seamus had a go back at me once.
“He obviously regretted it. He had a go back and I like that. You talk about characters and he’s a great lad, that doesn’t mean he’s not a winner and isn’t up to the challenge. You don’t play at that level with the injuries he has had unless you’re a fighter.”
Seamus Coleman still has plenty of life in him at 37 years old
Earlier in the year, Moyes was desperate to keep Coleman at Everton for the 2025/26 campaign.
The stadium move was huge for Everton and Moyes wanted to keep the veteran in the dressing room for the transition to the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
What is your prediction for Man United vs Everton?
Coleman’s leadership at Everton has blown James Tarkowski away, with the centre-back fully expecting the 37-year-old to become a manager when he retires.
However, he still has plenty of minutes left in his legs after demonstrating his quality over the International break.
Ireland’s manager wants Everton to use Coleman more frequently, and that is something that Keane would seemingly approve.
