Despite being unable to wear them for in-game action, former Arizona State running back Cam Skattebo is still repping shoes in support of Phoenix Children’s during the NFL’s My Cause My Cleats campaign.
The New York Giants rookie is continuing the work he started with the pediatric hospital while in Tempe, as he partnered with Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers during the Sun Devils’ 2024-25 campaign with 10% of all “Skatteburger” sales (or a minimum of $2,500) going to Phoenix Children’s.
Those wanting to give financially to Phoenix Children’s on behalf of Skattebo can make one-time donations online. Donations may be done anonymously.
Skattebo’s first professional season was cut in half due to a severe ankle injury on Oct. 26 at the Philadelphia Eagles that led to surgery.
In eight games played, the 5-foot-11 RB had 410 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 101 attempts. Skattebo added 24 catches (32 targets) for 207 yards and two scores.
Several Arizona Cardinals players are taking part in the NFL initiative, including tight end Trey McBride, who is supporting military and underserved youth via his own McBride’s Bridge Foundation.
My Cause My Cleats is in its 10th year of enabling all NFL players to don cleats that represent a cause of their choice. The Giants are allowing their players to showcase their personal causes this week and in Week 13.
