Seahawks Place WR Tory Horton On Injured Reserve, Elevate Two From Practice Squad

NASHVILLE—The Seahawks placed rookie receiver Tory Horton on injured reserve ahead of their Week 12 game against the Titans, meaning he will have to miss at least four games before being eligible to return.

The Seahawks also elevated linebackers Patrick O'Connell and Jamie Sheriff from the practice squad, adding linebacker depth with multiple injuries affecting the team a that position.

Horton, a fifth-round pick out of Colorado State, had given the Seahawks an explosive playmaking option at receiver and punt returner prior to sustaining a shin injury that has kept him out of the previous two games. Horton has five receiving touchdowns this season, including two in his most recent game, the Seahawks' Week 9 win over the Commanders, as well as a 95-yard punt return touchdown.

At linebacker, starting middle linebacker Ernest Jones IV is questionable with a knee injury and did not practice on Friday. He initially injured the knee in Seattle's Week 9 win over the Commanders, then missed the following game before returning to play against the Rams last weekend.

"His knee, really from a couple weeks ago, just working through it," Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said after Friday's practice. "He hasn't reinjured anything or anything, he's just working through his knee."
