Returns tonight?
Chris Godwin may be listed as questionable for tonight’s game with the Rams, seen by the nation on NBC. But Diana Russini of _The Athletic_ has no question about Godwin.
Per Russini, had has two sources telling her Godwin will suit up tonight and get on the field for some snaps on offense against the Rams.
A ravaged receiving corps is waiting on the return of Chris Godwin after he reinjured the fibula he fractured last season in Week 5 against the Seahawks. Two league sources say he is expected to return for “Sunday Night Football.”
This would be Godwin’s first appearance since he re-injured his fibula against Seattle.
Godwin wasn’t tearing things up when he played earlier in the season. Godwin played against Philadelphia and Seattle but had meager numbers. he had a total of 52 yards receiving.
The Eagles pretty much locked him down as Baker Mayfield targeted Godwin 10 times but he had just three catches. Godwin was much better against Seattle, catching three passes on four targets.
In both games against Philadelphia and Seattle, Godwin had 26 yards in each game.
The way the Bucs’ passing game has sunk into the abyss since the win over San Francisco, just having Godwin on the field ought to loosen things up for stud rookie Emeka Egbuka.
