Watching Man City Pep Guardiola on the touchline from the close quarters of the St James' Park press box was a truly fascinating experience during Newcastle's 2-1 win over his Man City side.
Guardiola's passion and high standards are why he remains one of the most successful managers in the history of the sport and when he felt his Man City players fell beneath those standards, he was very quick to let them know.
Jeremy Doku was the subject of his ire for losing concentration and being caught offside. The officials also felt his wrath for some of their decision-making.
But it was his reaction to Matheus Nunes, on a couple of occasions, that particularly caught the eye.
When the Portuguese international stunted the momentum of a City attack by not releasing the ball quickly enough for his liking before turning back and passing the ball to defender Ruben Dias, Guardiola threw his hands in the air and remonstrated with his full-back.
Minutes later, Nunes failed to control a ball out wide and the ball went out of play for a throw-in and that forced the City boss to turn around in disgust.
Meanwhile, Tino Livramento returned to the side for the first time since the defeat to Arsenal at the end of September and he reminded Newcastle just how much they had missed him at St James' Park.
The England international lasted the full 90 minutes on his return from a knee injury and he was excellent at both ends of the pitch.

His athleticism is something Newcastle have missed in his absence and his technical quality, both on and off the ball, is so important to the rhythm of this Magpies side.
Man City are known admirers of the 23-year-old and could well test Newcastle's resolve in next summer's transfer market. If they do, the Magpies would look to make a huge profit on the £40million they paid to sign him from Southampton two years ago.
While they had a midfielder playing as a makeshift right-back, Newcastle may well have the Premier League's best right-back on their hands.
