Manchester United meet Everton on Monday night at Old Trafford in the Premier League with hopes of continuing a five-game unbeaten streak.
Ruben Amorim will be aware that victory on Monday night would be massive for his side and prove that the improvements in form are here to stay.
This season, Manchester United have been a lot better than last campaign and are firmly in the pack of clubs chasing Champions League qualification, although the list is long.

How Manchester United might line up vs Everton
Last season in this fixture, United thrashed Everton 4-0, and it turned out to be a false dawn as most of the season after this was a disaster.
This season, United have injury concerns heading into the clash, which restricts Amorim’s team selection slightly and also poses a big question.

So here is our predicted line-up for the game.
Senne Lammens
In goal, there is little debate over who should be starting in goal, with Lammens nailing down the number one spot at United.
However, he will be desperate to keep more clean sheets going forward.
Leny Yoro
With Harry Maguire out injured, it will be Yoro who likely starts on the right of the back three, where he has shone all season.
Yoro has been showcasing his elite potential, and the French talent is more than ready to be key for Amorim.
Matthijs de Ligt
In the centre of the back three, United’s best defender this season is De Ligt, and he’s almost undroppable at this point.
De Ligt is finding his world-class ability, and he could end up the best in the league as he comes into his prime years.
Luke Shaw
On the left, Lisandro Martinez should not be risked so soon after recovering from his ACL injury. Therefore, it will be Shaw who is starting for United here once again.
Amad
Amad is a shoo-in for Amorim’s right-wing-back role, and he starts in the position again here.
AFCON is just around the corner, though, so we shouldn’t be shocked to see some experimentation here against Everton either.
Casemiro

Casemiro was excellent for Brazil over the international break, and he should be immediately back in United’s starting line-up against Everton.
While it isn’t a good thing, Casemiro is irreplaceable for United right now and so he must start.
Bruno Fernandes
Fernandes was terrible against Tottenham; however, against Everton should be a different story.
Over 11 games, Fernandes has an impressive record against Everton and averages a goal contribution per game.
Patrick Dorgu
Starting on the left, Dorgu is United’s best option for wing-back, with Diogo Dalot simply not suited to playing in the left-sided role.
Improvements needed in 2026 while Dorgu develops, but for now, the Dane starts.
Bryan Mbeumo
Mbeumo has been one of United’s star players this season, with six goals already to his name, and he has made himself the first name on the team sheet.
United are going to miss Mbeumo when he heads to AFCON, but before he goes, he can add another handful of goals.
Mason Mount
The injury to Benjamin Sesko means a shake-up in the attacking line is needed, and we see it being Mount who returns to the starting line-up.
Mount has been great when playing this season, and he should continue this form here for United.
Joshua Zirkzee
With fresh uncertainty over Matheus Cunha’s availability, we expect Joshua Zirkzee to get the nod against the Toffees.
The Dutchman scored twice in the home win over Everton last season, and will be keen for a repeat performance.
