John Terry has one specific complaint about Chelsea after watching win vs Burnley

Chelsea are on the up in the Premier League after their 2-0 win against Burnley saw them move to second in the table.

Pedro Neto and Enzo Fernandez’s goals saw the Blues take all three points from Turf Moor, and after Manchester City’s defeat to Newcastle they are now the outright closest challengers to Arsenal.

Enzo Maresca rotated his side with an eye towards a big week in the Champions League and domestic league, with Moises Caicedo remaining on the bench for the 90 minutes.

John Terry says Chelsea need to take chances better despite win vs Burnley

There were very few complaints as the Blues got the job done in the early kick-off, however club legend John Terry was left slightly concerned from the performance.

The former skipper stated that he believes Chelsea will need to be more clinical in their upcoming games against Barcelona and Arsenal.

He said: “Good performance, but the only thing for me, in the second-half, we have to take our chances against the better sides, but a win is a win, good win from the boys, big week ahead, Barcelona at the Bridge followed by Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.”

Terry said that Estevao Willian should have been left on the bench for the game, and Maresca will be delighted his superstar talent wasn’t needed at Turf Moor.

Chelsea survive interesting VAR call

There was a moment in the first half against Burnley which could have cost them dearly in their quest for three points.

Trevoh Chalobah used his hand to control the ball in the penalty area to take a goal kick, however referee Peter Bankes decided against giving a spot kick to Burnley.

Mark Clattenburg told The Chelsea Chronicle that it should have been a penalty in the laws of the game, although the official decided to use common sense instead.

The Blues went on to win the game, leaving former Chelsea midfielder Scott Parker fuming as his side fell to a 2-0 defeat.
