Manchester United last played a Monday night (8 pm) Premier League game on 30 December 2024.

They faced Newcastle United at Old Trafford, with United losing 2-0 to Eddie Howe’s side.

How did the game go?

Newcastle beat United at Old Trafford for only the second time since 1972 and handed the Red Devils their third straight home defeat in 45 years.

Early goals from Alexander Isak and Joelinton secured the victory, while Manchester United were widely criticised for their performance.

Pundits were critical of Manchester United following the game, with Amorim’s tactics coming under scrutiny.
