Seahawks vs. Titans: The matchup
After winning four straight and seven of eight games, the Seahawks stumbled last weekend in Los Angeles in a 21-19 loss to the Rams. That setback moved the Rams to the top of the NFC West Division standings ahead of the Seahawks, who enter Week 12 sitting fifth in the NFC Playoffs pecking order. The San Francisco 49ers remain a viable threat for the West Division, too, with a 7-4 mark going into a Monday Night Football showdown with the Carolina Panthers. Sam Darnold and the Seahawks are 13-point road favorites on Sunday, as the quarterback looks to turn the page after throwing four interceptions last Sunday against the Rams. In terms of QBR and passer rating, that game was by far Darnold’s worst in a Seattle uniform.
If the season were to end today, the Titans would earn the No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft for the second straight offseason. The pick at that spot last spring was used on quarterback Cam Ward, whose rookie season has been full of downs as he lacks the franchise stability and supporting cast to draw meaningful conclusions about Ward’s place in the NFL. Through 10 games, the Titans rank last in the league in total offense (242.5 ypg), scoring (14.3 ppg) and rushing (78.9 ypg).
