Opinion: Scott Parker explains what Chelsea can do to teams at'any moment'after Burnley win, he's not wrong

Chelsea were able to beat Scott Parker’s Burnley side on Saturday without their two best players.

Cole Palmer missed the game because of injury, while Moises Caicedo was rested after playing in both of Ecuador’s fixtures over the international break.

The former has barely been on the pitch this season, but that has not stopped Chelsea from beating teams, with their 2-0 win against Burnley being their latest victory.

Who was your player of the match vs Burnley?

For Parker, even without Palmer, Enzo Maresca’s team are still a very dangerous outfit.

Scott Parker claims Chelsea can hurt teams at ‘any moment’

Parker thought Burnley were excellent against Chelsea in the first half of their Premier League affair at Turf Moor. However, the 45-year-old was quick to point out that the Blues can strike at any time, with Pedro Neto grabbing their opening goal shortly before the break.

In his post-match press conference, which has been shared by the Burnley Express, the former Chelsea player said: “During the first half, we were brilliant. We’re playing against a quality team here in Chelsea and at any moment they can really hurt teams. I think you’ve seen that over the course of the season.”

Enzo Fernandez scored Chelsea’s other goal to end any hope Burnley had of coming back.

That win against Parker’s side has taken the Club World Cup winners to second in the Premier League table following Manchester City’s 2-1 loss to Newcastle United.

If Arsenal lose Sunday’s north London derby, Chelsea will remain just three points behind the Gunners going into their game against them next weekend.

Chelsea are one of the best attacking teams in the Premier League right now

Parker is not wrong about Chelsea. Surprisingly, even without Palmer, they look capable of creating an opportunity at any moment. At present, Chelsea are the second highest goalscorers in the Premier League.

According to WhoScored, they also have the highest xG in the division with a total of 24.09. They are third for shots per game as well, registering an average of 14.4. That is even higher than Manchester City’s (14.1).

All in all, Chelsea are definitely one of the most threatening teams in England right now, perhaps even the most. The likes of Neto and Joao Pedro have looked really dangerous this season.
