Chelsea fans call for Nicolas Jackson to return after Burnley win

Chelsea fans are still waiting to see the Englishman score his first goal for the club in the Premier League, and in turn have been thinking about former striker Nicolas Jackson.

The Senegal international, currently on loan at Bayern Munich, had two seasons as the centre forward at Stamford Bridge, and some Blues supporters have taken to social media to state they would be better off with him in their ranks.

One user said: “Jackson can do everything Delap does. Delap can’t even do half of what Jackson does.”

Another added: “Liam Delap is not better than Nicolas Jackson.”

A third stated: “If we’re using the striker for link up play then it’s crazy how much we’re missing Jackson for this type of role.”

Finally, one user said: “At this point, I am admitting Chelsea made a mistake by letting Jackson go, Jackson could have done better in this situation. Delap seems off, 0 goals in 7 games. We need Jackson in January.”

Jackson’s stance on Chelsea return

Despite the fact the striker is only on loan away from the club, it is safe to suggest that he has played his last game for the Blues.

Jackson is not interested in a Chelsea return, even if Bayern Munich do not exercise the option to sign him permanently.

The Blues may have to get back to the drawing board when it comes to finding a suitor for the Senegal star, however will be hopeful that they can still recall a big fee for him in a future transfer window.
