Everton could be set to face off against both Matheus Cunha and Lisandro Martinez despite their injury concerns at Manchester United.

David Moyes is set for a trip to face his former club as Man United prepare to play host to Everton at Old Trafford on Monday.

Man United are favourites to beat Everton, but that won’t stop the Toffees from turning up and hopefully giving a positive account of themselves.

The Merseyside outfit will hope to see the best of Iliman Ndiaye at Man United with a view to building on their win against Fulham last time around.

It had looked as if Ruben Amorim would be competing with injury concerns in M16, but any worries may have now subsided.

Manchester United training footage drops ahead of Everton clash

The Red Devils looked to have been dealt an injury blow to Cunha in training as he was forced to withdraw from Christmas light duties in Altringham.

Cunha could be ruled out for Man United against Everton, something which would undoubtedly represent a blow for the hosts.

Amorim also looks likely to be without the likes of Kobbie Mainoo, Harry Maguire and Benjamin Sesko for a clash with the Toffees.

Martinez is another on the injury list, but footage has now emerged of the Argentine and Cunha in training.

The duo are seen talking and embracing while the Brazilian is on an exercise bike, but their fitness remains unclear at this stage.

It doesn’t appear as if any of the Red Devils’ other injury worries trained on Friday, pointing towards a likely omission from the side to face the Toffees.

Everton can’t worry about Cunha

The 26-year-old may have been sensational in his spell at Wolves, but has generally struggled for output since his Old Trafford switch.

Cunha certainly has qualities that will raise concerns for Everton, but in James Tarkowski and Michael Keane the away side may feel confident in their abilities to keep him quiet.

They don’t know yet whether they will face the Brazilian, but they need not worry about the United team selection.

Moyes can’t control who Amorim selects, but the aerial threat of Sesko or Joshua Zirkzee could prove to be more difficult at Old Trafford.
