The Philadelphia Eagles didn't have to do anything to show that there's good news about their offensive line that will make fans happy.
The Philadelphia Inquirer Eagles reporter Jeff McLane shared that starting right tackle Lane Johnson is not going to require surgery after suffering a Lisfranc injury to his right foot in the team's 16-9 win over the Detroit Lions. If the Eagles thought it was more serious, they would have placed him on IR right before their Week 12 game against the Dallas Cowboys, but decided not to.
It was initially thought that Johnson would miss four to six weeks due to the injury. His source told McLane that the timeline might be shorter, with the Las Vegas Raiders game on December 14 as the target date.
#Eagles didn’t place Lane Johnson on injured reserve today because he won’t need surgery and there’s a good chance he could return within four games after suffering a Lisfranc injury to his right foot on Sunday, NFL sources said.

Johnson might be returner sooner than excepted
This is huge news for an Eagles team at the beginning of its playoff push. Sitting at 8-2 and having a three-game lead in the NFC East, Philly needs all their top players on the field.
Johnson has been stellar this season, allowing no sacks in 10 games. It's also been a rough one for injuries, as he has left multiple games, including those against the Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Rams, Green Bay Packers, and Lions, with some kind of injury.
Philly's offensive line has struggled throughout the season with staying healthy and playing consistently. Landon Dickerson and Cam Jurgens have faced their own injuries since training camp.
For the time being, Eagles fan favorite Fred Johnson will be getting his big chance to prove that he can be a starter in the NFL, as he will take over at right tackle. Johnson had his big breakout game against the Rams when he replaced Matt Pryor at right tackle, who replaced Lane Johnson, as Fred Johnson sparked a massive comeback win for the Eagles.

The big question will be whether the Eagles can hold strong for a few games without Lane Johnson and try to win the division and keep the NFC lead before he gets back.
