The Detroit Lions will return to action at Ford Field on Sunday, looking to rebound from their Week 11 16-9 road loss to the Philadelphia Eagles when they face off against another NFC East foe in the New York Giants.
Entering with a 6-4 record and currently out of a playoff spot in the NFC, Sunday’s game is a must-win for the Lions. Sunday’s matchup against the Giants is a game that the Lions should be able to win as they are currently double-digit favorites, according to multiple sports books.
Despite losing to the Eagles, the Lions were stout on defense and look to carry over that performance against the Giants on Sunday. Here are three offensive players for the Giants that the Lions defense will need to look out for.
Jameis Winston, QB
After suffering a concussion in the Week 10 loss to the Chicago Bears and missing the game against the Packers, Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart has officially been ruled out for Sunday's matchup. Jameis Winston will start his second straight game for the Giants against the Lions on Sunday.
In the 27-20 loss to the Packers, Winston showed his strengths and warts on offense, throwing for 201 yards and an interception late in the fourth quarter that sealed the win for Green Bay. The Lions' defense will try to make life miserable for Winston on Sunday.
Can Winston find success against a Lions team that is in a must-win situation at a hostile environment at Ford Field, or will Detroit force him to commit multiple turnovers?
Tyrone Tracy Jr., RB
Tyrone Tracy Jr. has stepped up for the Giants at running back since rookie star Cam Skattebo was placed on injured reserve after suffering a dislocated ankle injury in the 38-20 Week 8 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Oct. 26.

Tracy has rushed for over 70 yards in the Giants' last two games against the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers. In the Giants' 27-20 loss to the Packers in week 11, Tracy rushed for 88 yards on 19 carries. Expect Tracy to receive the majority of the carries on Sunday against the Lions.
The Lions were able to contain Eagles star running back Saquon Barkley, 83 yards on 26 carries, and will look to continue their success stopping the run against the Giants on Sunday.
Wan’Dale Robinson, WR
In the absence of another one of their young offensive stars, wide receiver Malik Nabers, Wan’Dale Robinson has led the Giants in receiving this season. Robinson has recorded 57 receptions for 638 yards and two touchdowns.
Robinson is one of the several available wide receivers on the Giants' offense that will be targeted on Sunday against the Lions, and could lead the team in receiving. In the loss to the Packers, Robinson had four catches for 36 yards on nine targets.
