Steelers vs. Bears: The matchup

The Steelers go into a key stretch of games to flip the page from November to December, beginning this weekend in Chicago against the Bears. Pittsburgh has won two of its past three games with the Bears, Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens coming up consecutively. The Steelers could wait until game day to make a determination on quarterback Aaron Rodgers after exiting last week’s 34-12 win over the Cincinnati Bengals with an injury to his left wrist, but backup Mason Rudolph kept the ship afloat with a 12-for-16 passing performance for 127 yards and a touchdown in that win. The Steelers are 6-4 on the season and hold a one-game lead over the Ravens in a two-team race for the top spot in the AFC North Division.

After starting the season with back-to-back losses to the Minnesota Vikings (27-24) and Detroit Lions (52-21), the Bears have carved out a reputation as a team that’s never out of a game. Williams and company rallied for another fourth-quarter comeback win over the Vikings on Sunday (19-17) after nearly squandering a 16-3 lead. After J.J. McCarthy led the Vikings to a go-ahead touchdown to cap an 85-yard drive with 50 seconds remaining, the Bears got a big kickoff return to help set up a game-winning 48-yard field goal by Cairo Santos at the buzzer.
