One Liverpool player saw themselves get their first minutes for the club last night.

Making your debut is always a significant moment, and to do it during a victory makes the moment even sweeter.

Liverpool Women were the side that tasted victory last night, as they beat Sheffield United Women 4-1 in the Subway League Cup to book their place in the quarterfinals.

Beata Olsson scored a hat-trick, making it six goals in her last four appearances.

Mia Enderby secured the victory with a well-placed finish.

The game was full of notable mentions, as Liverpool duo Lucy Parry and Alejandra Bernabe made their returns to competitive action after recovering from long-term injuries.

Another individual highlight came in the form of a debut for loan signing Emilia Szymczak.

Szymczak joined Liverpool FC Women on a season-long loan deal in September 2025 from FC Barcelona.

The Poland international plays as a defender and has been a Barcelona player since 2023.

She helped Poland qualify for the 2025 Women’s Euros and then featured in the tournament.

Part of a historic achievement for her country, as it was their first ever appearance in a major international tournament for Poland’s women’s team.

After signing for Liverpool, Szymczak said: “It’s amazing to be here. This is a big club and I’m so happy to be a part of it.”

“I jut felt Liverpool has a bright future and I know the WSL and this league is so strong, and I know I can develop more as a player here and try, and the club can offer me the best.”
