The duo returned to action after lengthy spells on the sidelines.

Liverpool welcomed the return of two players last night that had been out of action for some time.

Their inclusion was a sign of great positivity for the team, as the squad depth continues to strengthen.

The return of the duo capped off a brilliant evening for Liverpool Women, as they cruised into the quarterfinals of the Subway League Cup against Sheffield United.

In-form Beata Olsson scored a hat-trick, whilst Mia Enderby secured the result with a strike against her former side.

Lucy Parry had been sidelined with a thigh injury since October but entered the pitch to make her 26th appearance for the club.

Parry is now 21 years of age and has been at the club since she was seven.

She is the youngest ever player to feature for the senior side, when she was just 16 years and 150 days at the time of her debut.

In 2022, she agreed a season-long loan deal to move to Hibernian Women.

Upon her return, she enjoyed a breakout 2023/24 season, as she featured 16 times for Liverpool.

Her re-introduction will be warmly met by her teammates.

Alejandra Bernabe was the other player to get back on to the pitch last night.

Bernabe has experienced an extended spell on the sidelines after picking up a muscular injury in July.

The Spanish defender returned to Liverpool Women on a permanent basis this summer after completing a transfer from Chelsea.

She spent the second half of last season on loan with the Reds.
