Who’s going to stop Cade Cunningham and the Detroit Pistons? The Milwaukee Bucks certainly were the answer to that on Saturday, as they fell prey to Detroit at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, 129-116.
Detroit’s win over the Bucks stretched the Pistons’ win streak to 12 games and left Milwaukee reeling in four consecutive losses.
Cunningham was once again effective in leading Detroit. The former Oklahoma State Cowboys star scored 29 points, dished out 10 assists and grabbed eight rebounds in the Milwaukee game. Thanks in large part to Cunningham’s play, the Pistons have emerged as among the early serious contenders for at least an Eastern Conference title. Detroit’s latest win improved its record to 14-2.
Meanwhile, the Bucks are dropped below .500 with an 8-9 slate.

Just how incredible Cunningham has been this season, especially lately? Well, his performance against the Bucks put him in an incredibly impressive company in the NBA.
Via theofficial X account of the Pistons’ public relations department:
With 29 PTS, 10 AST and 8 REB in tonight’s win, Cade Cunningham joined Michael Jordan, Oscar Robertson, Luka Doncic, Trae Young and Nate Archibald as the only players in NBA history with a streak of 25+ PTS and 10+ assists in six-straight games.
In his last six games, Cunningham has averaged 31.8 points, 10.3 assists and 5.7 rebounds, while shooting 45.4 percent from the field.
The top pick overall at the 2021 NBA Draft appears to have great potential to put together another stellar outing in the next Detroit game, as the Pistons are scheduled to face the struggling Indiana Pacers on the road this coming Monday.
