Barcelona will not take part in a usual pre-match routine before their Champions League clash vs Chelsea this coming week. The Blues will host the La Liga giants at Stamford Bridge in their next league phase match of the competition.
Enzo Maresca's team go into that game on the back of a 2-0 win away at Burnley on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League, which lifted them up to second place in the table and above Manchester City.
The Champions League gives Chelsea a side-step from top-flight action, with the Blues looking to bounce back from their 2-2 draw with Qarabag in their previous match in the competition.
Chelsea will take part in an open training session on Monday at Cobham ahead of the Champions League game against Barcelona a day later.
It's common practice for travelling teams in UEFA competitions to train at the opposition's home stadium the evening before any match-up, with the manager and a player also taking part in a pre-match press conference.
However, Mundo Deportivo has reported that Barcelona will not be doing that ahead of their clash with Chelsea.
It's been claimed that Barcelona will not train at Stamford Bridge on Monday, instead remaining in Catalonia to prepare for the game against Chelsea at Ciutat Esportiva, which is the club's training base.
The report states that Barcelona will travel to London at 12pm on Monday, where they will then go to the team hotel and stay there until the squad travels to Stamford Bridge for the club's pre-match media duties.
