Vitalii Mykolenko is surely set to leave Everton in the coming months as David Moyes eyes the signature of Caio Henrique.

The Ukrainian left-back’s long-term future at the Hill Dickinson Stadium has been in doubt for weeks.

Questions have bene asked of Mykolenko’s ability at Everton and whether he is capable of taking them to the next level.

As it stands, Mykolenko is set to leave Everton in the summer when his contract expires, and given the recent rumours regarding Henrique, it is hard to see how the Ukrainian stays at the Merseyside club.

Everton make contact over Caio Henrique transfer

It was reported by ESPN on 20 November that Everton are interested in Henrique.

MORE TOFFEES STORIES

The full-back currently plays for both Monaco and the Brazilian national team, with his contract set to expire in 2027.

Henrique has been linked to Everton before, with the Toffees eyeing the left-back in January 2022.

He has since made 190 appearances for the Ligue 1 club

Henrique is now a Brazilian international, with five caps to date

However, this interest appears to be renewed, with the report claiming that both Everton and West Ham have contacted the player’s representatives with the intention of understanding the conditions of a deal.

Henrique is highly rated at Monaco, with his former manager Adi Hutter labelling the full-back as “fantastic” to Monaco Tribune on 17 March.

While Henrique is not expected to leave the Ligue 1 side at present due to it potentially affecting his place in the World Cup squad, this surely indicates that Mykolenko is on his way out.

The fact that Everton are scouting for new left-backs and making contact to see if they are available shows that the Ukrainian’s time at Merseyside is coming to an end.

There is no way that Mykolenko would sign a new contract to sit on the bench, especially as an international reaching the peak of his career. Therefore, an exit sooner rather than later seems inevitable.

Which other contracts at Everton are set to expire in the summer?

On top of Mykolenko, Everton have multiple players who are set to depart in the summer.

Michael Keane and Seamus Coleman are perhaps the biggest names, with the former star playing a big role so far this campaign.

Idrissa Gueye’s contract is also up. However, Everton have an option to extend his stay by another year.

On top of this, young goalkeeper Harry Tyrer is also in the last months of his contract.
