The Reds head to Elland Road in just under two weeks.
Liverpool will believe they are fortunate to be coming up against two teams placed 17th and 18th in the table over the next three Premier League games.
Arne Slot and his players see themselves in an unthinkable position after lifting the Premier League title just six months ago.
The joy and euphoria of that trophy lift and the summer that followed has quickly faded, as the Reds find themselves in the bottom half of the table with twelve games played.
Six wins and six losses make for grim reading for a team who dominated the league last season.
Liverpool will head to the London Stadium to face West Ham next weekend looking to get back on track, before welcoming Sunderland to Anfield.
On 6th December, they will head to Elland Road to face Leeds United.
Leeds United have endured a difficult return to the Premier League, as three wins, two draws and seven losses see them sit within the relegation zone.
They faced Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon and went ahead early on thanks to Lukas Nmecha.
However, Aston Villa responded well after the break and a Morgan Rogers brace has heaped the pressure back on to head coach Daniel Farke.
The misfortunes didn’t stop there, as Leeds United suffered an injury scare to one of their key players with a visit from the Reds looming.
Anton Stach, who has featured in all but one of Leeds’ Premier League games so far this season, had to be withdrawn in the 23rd minute after suffering a head injury.
According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Stach played a vital role in Leeds United’s opening goal but suffered as a result.
The German rose above Aston Villa’s goalkeeper Emi Martinez to head goalwards, before Ezri Konsa’s attempted clearance hit Lukas Nmecha and went in.
There was a VAR check to see if Stach had fouled Martinez, with both players injured at the time but the goal stood.
Stach came back on to the pitch for a few minutes before going back down, unable to continue.
Sky Sports confirmed upon his withdrawal that Leeds had used a concussion substitute to make that change as Ao Tanaka replaced him.
Premier League rules state that the player will not be able to take part in training or a competitive match for at least six days.
It hasn’t been confirmed that it was a concussion, but all signs point towards that.
Leeds United will be hoping the damage isn’t serious and Stach can return to action in time for the Liverpool game.
