Eberechi Eze became the first English Arsenal player to score in his first North London derby in the League since Ian Wright and Kevin Campbell in 1991.
The Gunners emerged as 4-1 victors against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday in the Premier League, with the result taking them six points ahead of second-placed Chelsea.
Boss Mikel Arteta will have been pleased with his players as they demonstrated the ingenuity needed to break down Thomas Frank's low block.
Summer addition Eze managed to score three goals against Spurs, and per Squawka he became the first English player to score for Arsenal in his first North London derby in the league in 34 years.
He also has more Premier League goal involvements against Tottenham than any other opponent having found the back of the net six times and provided one assist against the Lilywhites.

What the result means for Arsenal in the Premier League title race
The Gunners would have seen Liverpool and Manchester City as their main competitors for the title prior to the beginning of the season, but they are currently 11 points ahead of the former, and seven points ahead of the latter.
Arteta must be confident that his team can now win the title, especially as the squad have shown that they can cope with the adversity of injuries.
Gabriel Magalhaes was not available for the club on Sunday, but centre-back Piero Hincapie excelled in his place, though he would have been disappointed to have conceded.
Elsewhere, Eze was arguably the best player on the pitch, and his mixed performances at Arsenal had started to concern fans, but he demonstrated his goalscoring instincts on the weekend, and he is sure to be a key part of the club's success moving forward.

Can Arsenal be stopped by rivals like Chelsea or Manchester City?
Arsenal are set to play Chelsea next weekend in the Premier League, and a defeat at Stamford Bridge would reduce the gap between the teams to just three points.
Manchester City have a history of winning numerous games in the second half of seasons, and Arteta must take the threat posed by Pep Guardiola seriously.
Having said that, the Citizens do not look like the same force they once were, whereas Chelsea are yet to prove they have the consistency needed to challenge under Enzo Maresca.
If Arsenal emerge from the winter period with a healthy lead, then it would not be surprising if they comfortably won the Premier League title.
