The Cleveland Browns (2–8) are limping into this game with a major storyline as rookie Shedeur Sanders is expected to make his first NFL start with Dillon Gabriel in concussion protocol. The Browns' offense has been among the least productive in the league, averaging just 159.3 passing yards/game (ranked 31st) and 16.2 points/game. On the defensive side, however, Cleveland has been a very strong unit; it’s top in pass defense, giving up just 167.0 yards/game, and they've generated 32 sacks this season, led by Myles Garrett, who has already racked up 15. It will be interesting to see if Sanders can give them a jolt offensively.
Meanwhile, the Las Vegas Raiders (2–8) are also in the midst of a lost season, but they're rolling out Geno Smith at quarterback, who's thrown for 2,082 yards, 12 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions so far. Their offense has struggled mightily, averaging just 15.5 points per game (30th in the league). On defense, they're middle of the pack, but they'll need to find a way to slow down Cleveland's pass rush, as Garrett and linebacker Carson Schwesinger (team-high in tackles) are dangerous threats.
