Eberechi Eze expressed his joy at being at the centre of a successful North London derby day.
The £68 million man has been getting used to life back at Arsenal, whom he left as a 13 year old. Having got his dream move, the attacker had shown glimpses of his best work, but he transcended the stage at the Emirates Stadium against **Tottenham**with a superb hat trick of strikes in a 4-1 rout.
For the 27-year-old, this afternoon was a dream come true as his faith and resilience were rewarded.
“That’s a good one man. Enjoyable day. Happy to help the team and to win today was a special.
"It's special. I am grateful. I prayed for it. This is what I pray for. I prayed for a hat-trick so I am grateful to God. Special day man. Special day for me, my family.
"That was the prayer today. God gave it to me and that is faith, man. All my family is here and that makes it even more special for me.
“[The goals] are all good. Maybe the second one. That was my favourite. All of them are good for me because I have been working on the process to get in that position so that's good again.
"I don't think I could've ever dreamt of it.
"We were prepared for whatever set up they were coming with because of the diligence of our staff. Huge credit to them. And of course the players in our team, the ability, the talent, from whatever angle we're threatening to score goals. Good performance, good three points and a special day.
"I probably should've scored four to be honest. I'm always trying to score, always trying to take my chances. It's important to be relentless. We're focused on ourselves, we're focused on putting in our work every day. It's not by chance that we perform like this."
