Trossard satisfied with ‘dominant’ display and ‘amazing’ atmosphere

Leandro Trossard talked about a big win for **Arsenal**in the North London derby as the Premier League leaders delivered the goods.

The Belgian has been one of the big performers for the Gunners this campaign, grabbing key goals against Athletic Club and **Fulham**in victories and at **Sunderland**in the team’s last league fixture.

A 2-2 draw dented their momentum at the Stadium of Light, but both **Man City**and **Liverpool**lost on Saturday, so **Arsenal**had the chance to go six points clear of **Chelsea**and seven ahead of the Citizens if they took three points at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon against Tottenham.

Trossard got the goalscoring going with a smart finish in the first half and an Eberechi Eze hat trick ensured everything worked out in favour of the hosts on a day to remember for the whole club.

“I enjoyed that a lot! I think it was important to get that goal. After that it gave us the edge to go on and score more goals, to create chances. I think we were dominant before, but obviously that gives you that extra bit of confidence to go and win the game. It was a perfect night for us.

“It was a really good game overall in every aspect, from defence to attack. We're really happy with all the goals we scored as well.

“Today, especially, I know the history with the North London derby, but every game it's so important that [the fans] can push us forward in difficult moments. It helps us as players and it was just great.

“Everyone was cheering, there's not much to say about it. That's what we really wanted and it's nice that we could give this back to the fans. The atmosphere was amazing, it was so good, they pushed us forward as well. So yeah, it's a really good night today.”
