The Atlanta Falcons (3–7) come into this NFC South showdown hurting. They’re reeling after a 30–27 overtime loss to the Panthers last week, which dropped them further down the playoff picture. Offensively, the Falcons have struggled to put up big numbers, averaging just 19.5 points per game. Their passing game could take a hit as Drake London (top receiver) has been ruled out for this matchup, and Michael Penix Jr. (quarterback) is done for the year with a knee injury, leaving it to Kirk Cousins and Bijan Robinson to carry the offense.
On the flip side, the New Orleans Saints (2–8) are coming off their bye week, hoping to see the benefits from some rest. Rookie quarterback Tyler Shough will start, and he'll be looking to build on his limited experience.
