What you need to know about Arsenal vs Tottenham as the North London Derby took place on Sunday...

Eze's hat-trick masterclass: The game was defined by a brilliant performance from Arsenal's attacking midfielder, Eberechi Eze, who scored a hat-trick on his derby debut - the first in the North London Derby since 1978. His second goal came just 36 seconds into the second half, crushing any initial Spurs comeback hopes.

Arsenal's control: After a cagey opening half-hour, Arsenal took the lead through Leandro Trossard and went into half-time 2-0 up. Arsenal largely controlled the game, demonstrating their title-winning credentials.

Richarlison's wonder goal: Tottenham briefly found hope when Richarlison scored a spectacular 40-yard chip over the Arsenal goalkeeper, David Raya, to make the score 3-1.

Statement win: Eze completed his treble later in the second half, sealing a convincing 4-1 victory. The win extended Arsenal's lead at the top of the Premier League table to six points, as title rivals Manchester City and Liverpool both suffered defeats on Saturday.

What Arteta said: Gunners boss Arteta was naturally euphoric, focusing his praise on the match-winner, Eze, and the electrifying atmosphere created by the Arsenal supporters. "When a player has that talent, has a brain, and he has that willingness to be better and to make an impact in the team, these things happen," Arteta said.

What Frank said: Spurs head coach Frank acknowledged the defeat was unacceptable in such an important fixture and apologised to supporters. "It's extremely painful to stand here after that game," he said. "We can only apologise to the fans for not performing better."
