The Week 11 matchup between the Seattle Seahawks and the Los Angeles Rams was billed as an important test for Seattle heading into the game. Despite having seven wins after nine games, [critics questioned the Seahawks' resume](https://12thmanrising.com/seattle-seahawks-have-perfect-opportunity-against-rams-silence-any-remaining-critics), so the Rams were viewed as a measuring stick to see how good Seattle really is. Unfortunately, the Seahawks did not pass the test.
While Seattle lost by a respectable two points, the team’s performance was much more concerning than the 21-19 final score. With [Sam Darnold throwing four interceptions](https://12thmanrising.com/seattle-seahawks-just-made-their-stance-crystal-clear-sam-darnold-week-11-funk), people are doubting whether the veteran quarterback and the Seahawks can really beat the elite teams in the NFL.
The only way Seattle can answer that question is on the field, and thankfully, the team will have the perfect opportunity to respond.
Seattle Seahawks can avenge Rams' loss in Week 16 in front of the NFL world
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
In Week 16, the Rams will come to Seattle for a Thursday Night Football game, and the Seahawks will be able to avenge Sunday’s loss, and rewrite the narrative in front of a national audience.
That game is five weeks and four opponents away for Seattle, but the Seahawks don't have a quality opponent in their next few games to help turn critics into believers. In the next three weeks, the team will face the 1-9 Tennessee Titans, the 4-6 Minnesota Vikings, and the 3-7 Atlanta Falcons. Barring a complete collapse, Seattle should win those three games and move to 10 wins on the season.
Defeating those three teams won’t win over any non-believers, but the Seahawks will have the opportunity to do that immediately after that stretch. After the Falcons, Seattle will host the 8-2 Indianapolis Colts, then the 8-2 Rams. A win against either of those teams would be great, and a win against both would completely shift the narrative around the team heading into the playoffs.
While winning every game is important, an impressive outing in the second meeting with the Rams will go a long way, as far as narratives. It’ll be a primetime game, so the entire football world will be watching, allowing the Seahawks to show everyone Seattle is ready for any challenge.
