The Cleveland Browns vs. the Las Vegas Raiders game on Sunday at Allegiant Stadium may hold little relevance from a playoff perspective, but it is a historic moment for the Sanders. After a series of dramatic events, starting from the 2025 NFL draft, the elder son of Deion Sanders made his debut as a starter.
On Sunday, Sheduer made his presence felt with a massive 53-yard throw to WR Isaiah Bond. The throw happened during the 1st quarter of the game at 3rd & 8. The impressive throw helped the Browns score another touchdown with Rusher Quinshon Judkins rushing 2 yards in the next attempt. Earlier, Judkins rushed up the middle for 8 yards to open the account for the Browns.
The Raiders then attempted a comeback, but the Browns had a healthy 14-3 lead courtesy of Shedeur and Judkins. At the beginning of the 3rd quarter, Shedeur had 9 of his 14 passes completed for 150 yards, marking an impressive beginning.
Shedeur took the field last week as well, but as a backup to Dillion Gabriel, and his performance wasn’t impressive enough. He finished 4 of his 16 passes for 47 yards, including an interception and a fumble on a sack.
However, Shedeur made sure that was ready for his big moment. Earlier this week, Shedeur paid a visit to his dad in Colorado ahead of his debut. Deion didn’t seem happy with the decision. He also wore a diamond-studded cross and a whistle, paired with a brown hoodie and his iconic sunglasses. After sharing an emotional moment, Deion watched his son from the sidelines before going to his seat in what looked like a passing of the torch moment in the Sanders’ family.
