Shedeur Sanders has had an uphill battle since finishing his collegiate career with the Colorado Buffaloes, but has officially made his first career NFL start with the Cleveland Browns. For the first time since the team moved back to Cleveland in 1999, a Browns quarterback making his first career start has won. Shedeur Sanders was able to do enough to secure a win for the Cleveland Browns in Week 12 on the road against the Las Vegas Raiders. This win pushes the team to a 3-8 record and gives them their first road win of the season. While Sanders was not asked to do too much throwing the football against a weak defensive team, he was able to show some highlights and help secure the victory.
[Sanders](https://gridironheroics.com/antonio-pierce-shedeur-sanders/) finished completing 11 of 20 passes (55.0%) for 209 yards with one touchdown pass and one interception. He and the offensive line stepped up and avoided much contact on the quarterback as he was sacked just once on the day and hit five times.
The one touchdown pass was a 66-yard passing touchdown to running back Dylan Sampson in the fourth quarter that was thrown on a pass behind the line of scrimmage, but we did see instances of Sanders throwing the ball deep while on the run as well.
Sanders did not have one specific receiver stand out as no receiver outside of Harold Fannin Jr had more than three targets. This was seemingly a good building block as this should be the floor for what he is able to do in the NFL. With more reps, it will be intriguing to see what type of quarterback Shedeur Sanders will become.
